Formwork

GCS has a comprehensive range of various formwork systems and associated components including the following:

Formwork Props

  • Conventional Props are fully galvanised and range from number zero through to
    number four.
  • Push Pull Props. GCS has an extensive range of both Peri & conventional push pull props.
  • Peri Multi Props are heavy duty props with a capacity up to 88 kN S.W.L.
  • Giant Jacks are heavy duty jacks with a capacity up to 300 kN S.W.L.

Floor Centres

Floor centres are used as adjustable joists for in-situ concrete soffit formwork. These are mainly used in the residential market and GCS stock the following types:

  • Floor Centre Boy
  • Floor Centre Baby Boy
  • Floor Centre Super Boy

Slab Support Systems

  • Conventional Shoring Frames in either steel or aluminium in various sizes and dimensions.
  • GCS Modular Support System will cater for any size or dimension of slab required.
  • Peri Sky Deck Slab System has a drop head, which allows you to strike after only two days (depending on the thickness of the slab and strength of the concrete). The Sky Deck Systems offers a relatively open grid of props.

Wallform

  • Peri Domino is a light weight panel system for any application from residential to major civil projects. GCS has good stocks of both steel and aluminium Domino Formwork.
  • Peri Trio is a more robust, heavy duty panel system. BFD alignment coupler is sufficient to connect even 10m high formwork panels. Once the panels have been pre-assembled lying flat, their flexurally stiff connection allows them to be lifted easily with a crane.

Columns

A full range of different type of column forms are is available, including:

  • Peri Panels
  • Circular Column Forms (steel or aluminimum)
  • Square Column Forms (steel or aluminimum)
  • Light-weight Circular Column Forms (Ezytube & Proform)

General Formwork Hardware & Consumables

  • Bar Tie –15mm dia. threaded rod. (Various lengths from 500mm up to 6000mm).
  • Bar Tie Accessories – Wing wuts, couplers, full nuts and waterstops.
  • Plywood Plugs – 22mm dia. x 12mm, used to fill holes up to 18mm dia. in plywood panels.
  • Chamfer Mould – Rigid, yet flexible moulding designed to reduce leakages and rough edges on concrete. Used mainly on concrete columns, walls, ramps and drip moulds.
  • Plastic Conduit – 25mm dia. x 3mm thick tube that is used as a protective cover over bar tie, enables tie to be removed after concrete has been poured.
  • Plastic Cones – Used for end plugging conduit.
  • Builders Film – Available in 200um thickness.
  • Form Release Concentrate – A highly concentrated blend of active oils, formulated to give a sharp clean release from formwork shutters and may be used with timber or metal moulds or forms.
  • Hy-Rib (Expamet) – Galvanised sheet steel used to retain poured concrete and provide a perfect bond and shear key to the subsequent pour.
